A difficult night for Morris saw the Robins Captain withdrawn from the meeting on medical terms after crashing in his second heat. Appeared shaken up by the incident but will hopefully be back in action for Wednesday’s trip to King’s Lynn.
David Bellego: 9
After suffering a wrist injury in France, David Bellego was expected to be out of action for the foreseeable future. However when called upon the Frenchman came to Swindon’s aid delivering a bagful of points and producing some great racing when it mattered most. Great for fans to see Bellego back in the team but consistency is now needed.
Adam Ellis: 9
Lighting fast out the gates and continued his successful run of form as he raced to a paid twelve points against Leicester. Ellis appeared very confident on his machinery all evening and looked as if he has finally put any previous problems behind him.
Tobiasz Musielak: 7
An evening of frustration for Swindon’s Polish ace seen Tobiasz Musielak score a paid eight points from four rides, however his aggravation of a recurring knee injury will be cause for some concern. Once again worked exceptionally hard to score invaluable points and pulled out a great performance in heat fourteen to all but secure victory.
Troy Batchelor: 9
Whether he splits opinion or not, there is no denying that Troy Batchelor is Swindon’s biggest asset this season. A terrible track which was dangerous at times seen riders struggle to produce any racing. But when needed most, Batchelor came to the forefront and scored thirteen points to help drive the Robins to victory.
Dimitri Berge (G): 8
Being brought into guest for the injured Zach Wajtknecht, Berge provided Swindon with the points in reserve that they have been crucially missing as of late. Suffered two retirements due to bike problems, most probably caused by the dust the track created, but his ability to perform under pressure was crucial to Swindon’s success. A potential swap for Jack Smith?
Jack Smith: 3
Scored two points on the night and gated well at times. Looked quicker than usual but it’s clear that this league is to big an ask for Jack Smith.
