Rossiter v King’s Lynn

The Swindon Robins made it 13 wins out of 13 following last night’s victory over the King’s Lynn Stars, and TotalSport Swindon’s Ryan Walker was trackside to get the reaction of manager Alun Rossiter.

An unlucky number for some the Swindon Robins continued their hot streak with a thirteenth straight win, and manager Rossiter insisted he was delighted with the win.

“ It was a good night but it wasn’t our cleanest performance.” Began Rossiter.

“ We had a few things go wrong, a few refereeing decisions which didn’t go our way and they made it harder.

“ We were a bit touchy tonight and I don’t know what was the matter.” He added.

“ A few tempers flared and I’m not sure why and I was a bit on edge as well which probably didn’t help.

“ In the end we won it comfortably but it wasn’t as smooth as it should have been.” Said Rossiter.

With various Swindon riders suffering mechanical problems on the evening, Rossiter insisted it wasn’t as plain sailing as he would of liked, but was full of praise for the performances of Tobiasz Musielak and Adam Ellis.

“ Bradley had a couple of mechanical problems and silly little things are going wrong.” Stated Rossiter.

“ We will go away, address things and make sure everything is right.

“ Adam and Tobiasz had a big night stepping up into different roles.” He added.

“ Toby didn’t look as quick tonight as usual for some strange reason but he still got a good amount of points.

“ Adam stepped up really well from reserve tonight.

“ He made a couple of mistakes, but after speaking about it he definitely knows what to do next time.” Exclaimed Rossiter.

With the season nearing its climax and teams still battling it out for the top four playoff spots, Swindon will look to top the Premiership table and Rossiter reiterates every point counts.

“ We’ve got a lot of home meetings left which is good, but we need to make sure every race counts.” Urged Rossiter.

“ It doesn’t matter whether we win by one or win by many, a win is a win.

“ We’re in the driving seat now and want to keep pushing on.” He added.

“ There’s no complacency but I can’t put my finger on why we struggled tonight.

“ We had a couple of mechanical issues and strange refereeing decisions which didn’t help.” Said Rossiter.
