Swindon Town one of a number of clubs linked with non-league defender
Swindon Town are one of a trio of Football League clubs linked with a move for Boston United’s Jai Rowe.
Football Insider have claimed a number of sides are eyeing a move for the defender, who recently helped Boston to promotion from National League North.
Ian Culverhouse’s team, which included Rowe, sealed a 2-1 victory over Brackley Town in the division’s play-off final to seal their return to the fifth tier.
Rowe has been offered a new deal by the Pilgrims, as noted on the club’s retained list issued last week. Newport County and Doncaster have also been linked with the 22-year-old.
The Nuneaton-born defender started his career at Barwell before going on to play for Scunthorpe United in League Two.
He left Scunthorpe in March 2023 before joining Aldershot on a short-term deal, ahead of his arrival at Boston last October.
Town, who finished 19th in League Two last season, are yet to add to their squad despite releasing 11 first-team players this summer.
They are also yet to appoint a permanent head coach, with Gavin Gunning in charge on an interim basis since Michael Flynn was sacked in January.
