Speedway: Sedgmen Pumped For Robins Return

Returning Robins star Justin Sedgemen is determined to make his mark on the top level in 2016, as he prepares to break through as a top rider in Alun Rossiter's side.

Sedgmen heads back to the Robins as a double Premier League title winner with Edinburgh - but a return to the Monarchs next year looks unlikely as they have yet to contact him since he left the UK in October.

The 23-year-old has had interest from three PL clubs and has also signed to ride for Danish Superliga side Grindsted, whilst he is in advanced discussions with a Polish Extraliga club - but establishing himself at Swindon is top of his priorities.

Sedgmen said: “Since I've come back to Australia I haven't heard from anyone at Edinburgh, which I'm slightly disappointed with, but I think it’s focused my mind.

“I had two great years at Edinburgh and I would like to thank the promotion, fans and awesome team-mates for the time I had with them.

“Scotland is a great place to live and the experience is one I won't forget, but I'm going to be basing myself in what I consider my British home next year, Swindon.

“I've had interest from a few other Premier League clubs but no concrete offers. I wouldn't rule out a move to a Premier League club completely, but my mind-set at the minute is proving myself in the Elite League and in Europe.

“I wanted to race in Europe more than I did last year, and I think I deserved a bigger crack at it than I did. My aim is to establish myself as a solid rider who is progressing," Sedgmen added.
