Smith: 'I'm coming back a much different person and a much-improved player'
New Swindon Town striker Harry Smith revealed how a conversation with head coach Mark Kennedy convinced him to join the club.
The 29-year-old arrives at the County Ground, having last season scored 14 goals for Sutton United.
Striker Smith, who previously worked with Kennedy during his time at Macclesfield, featured for Town while on loan from Millwall in 2017.
Speaking about his return to the Robins, he told the club website: "I'm really happy. I spoke with the manager two or three weeks ago and as soon as I spoke to him I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be playing my football this season.
"I think about when I was here previously it was my first loan spell in football, and I was a kid then to be honest.
“I think the player that the club that's signed today is a much better player than I was then. A lot of development and a lot of games behind my belt now.
"I'm coming back a much different person and a much-improved player."
A new option up front! ??
