Having been dealt a blow in the form of a 4-3 to defeat to 10-man Evesham last Saturday, 10-man Marine twice levelled against this afternoon’s opponents before conceding in the final minute to again slip to defeat.
The afternoon started did not start well for Marine as Matt MaGee gave the visitors the lead in just the second minute and, despite a succession of home chances, it stayed this way until half time.
The start of the second half saw captain Chris Taylor convert from the spot to level matters for the first time, but Marine’s task got even more difficult as just a few minutes later sub Sam Morris was shown a straight red card for an off the ball incident, only minutes after coming on.
Cleeve re-took the lead very quickly, as Jack Watts lobbed home keeper Sam Warrell, but the hosts leveled within 10 minutes as Bradley Grey tapped home after Josh Morse’s shot had hit the post.
However, the worst was yet to come as Watts added his second late on to condemn Marine to yet another loss.
