Snapped: Wildcats Sink Phoenix On Home Ice

The Swindon Wildcats faced familiar foe on Saturday, as they welcomed Manchester Phoenix to the Swindon Ice Arena, less than a week after defeating them in a thrilling overtime encounter at Deeside.

As ever, the tie between the two sides was a close-fought affair. Desperate to makes ammends for their defeat at Deeside, the Pirates piled forward at every opportunity, but were unable to break a resilient Wildcats side.

Cats eventually emerged 4-3 victors, in a game which saw head coach Aaron Nell scoop his 250th competitive league goal in professional ice hockey.
