Swindon Town fans have their say on managerial change
Swindon Town fans have had their say after Ian Holloway was appointed the club’s new manager.
The 61-year-old takes charge of the side just three places above the drop zone in League Two.
Holloway’s official start date is Monday but he will be present when coaches Marcus Bignot, Steve Mildenhall and Gavin Gunning oversee this weekend’s home game against Gillingham.
Just two hours came between Town announcing the sacking of former head coach Mark Kennedy and replacing him with the appointment of Holloway.
And Town fans have had their say on an incredible morning at the Nigel Eady County Ground.
Ian Holloway. Should be what we need to avoid relegation and get back on track. I’m looking forward to see what the future holds.#stfc

A massive change in tact??
Met IH plenty during the FourFourTwo days. Came VERY close to being appointed @ #stfc previously in the Malpas era.
Direct, passionate, committed. Will put a rocket in where needed.
Welcome to SN1, Ollie.??
Ian Holloway as #STFC manager is a roll of the dice moment for our status as a football league club.

Forced to roll the dice being 22nd & at least we have time to turn it around rather than waiting. Hoping we aren’t appointing Gunning in March…
Only #stfc would appoint a manager to try and save their football league status whose last job resulted in his team losing their football league status. At any other club it would be seen as bizarre but here it’s just a normal day!

Oh god, we are in trouble. It’s a one way road from here and the wheels have come off and there’s little we can do #stfc #coyr https://t.co/kJw76WIYoD

My heart says one thing and my head says another! Let’s get behind him and keep this club in the football league. Unfortunately that is where we are now! #stfc pic.twitter.com/BQFGLPYlTz

Wow, under normal circumstances I would say no... but considering how crazy things have become maybe this is fitting? #stfc https://t.co/9aFqDFWxQW

Holloway will soon sound the battle cries and talk up what a massive club it is and many will come around to him. At the end of the day his remit is simple despite what nonsense the club says about promotions stay out of the bottom 2 surely he can achieve this...#stfc
