Swindon captain Jason Doyle confirms Australian Grand Prix withdrawal
Swindon rider Jason Doyle will miss his home Grand Prix as he has been forced to withdraw from the meeting because of injury.
Doyle suffered a string of horrific injuries following a nasty crash on Saturday during the Polish Grand Prix and the Aussie revealed the extent of his problems, meaning he will not be able to race for the forseeable future.
He said: "I would just like everyone to know first-hand that sadly I have had to withdraw from the Melbourne GP.
"I have punctured my left lung and badly traumatised my right lung. My right elbow is also shattered and I dislocated my left shoulder.
"I am unable to fly due to my lungs and I have to wait for surgey on my elbow once my lung is healed.
"I would again like to thank everyone for their kind messages, I have got time to read them all!
"I will concentrate on my health and recovery to be ready for 2017."
