Took a while to find the right set-up after scoring only three points from his opening two rides, however rode fantastically in heat ten to put the Robins in a comfortable position. Took to his Captaincy role well and will look to improve on tonight’s performance.
Adam Ellis: 6
Retired in his first heat after crashing out on the first bend, but rode well the rest of the evening scoring 7+1 on the night. Showed no sign of the injuries that plagued him, and will be eager to secure his status as one of the best number two’s in the league.
Troy Batchelor: 7
Receiving a hero’s welcome after returning to the Abbey Stadium in Swindon colours for his third stint at the club, Batchelor led from the front most of the evening finishing the night with eight points. Came last in his second heat but looks set to be a great signing by manager Rossiter.
David Bellego: 9
Slow start to the evenings proceedings, coming last in his first heat. Went on to score 10+1 on the night to make him Swindon’s top performer and will take confidence from his last heat of the evening, beating Aces number one Craig Cook.
Tobiasz Musielak: 7
One of the key riders in last season’s title winning team and used the evening to shake off any rustiness accumulated over the winter period. Showed glimpses of his quality and looked extremely quick at times. Looks certain to be a big performer for the Wiltshire outfit once again this year.
Zach Wajtknecht: 7
A good return to the side for the Swindon reserve after missing the second half of last season with a spleen injury and showed no pre-race nerves some might have expected. Developed confidence as the meeting went on, passing his opposite number in heat fourteen to secure the title for the Robins.
Mitchell Davey: 9
Celebrated his birthday in style by consistently beating his opposition and ended up scoring 7+3 in total. An unknown rider to many but with performances like this, the Swindon faithful will be singing his name from the stands in no time.
