Swindon Robins duo Adam Ellis and Zach Wajtknecht aiming for British U21 Championship

Swindon Speedway duo Adam Ellis and Zach Wajtknecht are bidding for British Under-21 Championship glory when they head to Poole on Wednesday (19.30).

Ellis finished third in last year’s competition whilst Wajtknecht finished runner-up in the qualifying semi-final at Peterborough a fortnight ago.

It will be a second consecutive British Under-21 Final for Bristol based Wajtknecht who says he wants to give a good account of himself in a strong 16 rider field.

Wajtknecht: “It’s been a pretty good start to the season for me overall and finishing level on points and in second at the semi was a good result for me.

“The line-up is always ten times as hard in the final and there’s a load of fast riders there again this year.

“There’s no pressure on me really so I can just go there, try and make some good gates and enjoy myself.”

BRITISH UNDER-21 FINAL LINE-UP: Danny Phillips, Max Clegg, James Shanes, Ellis Perks, Josh Bailey, Danyon Hume, Liam Carr, Adam Ellis, Zach Wajtknecht, Nathan Greaves, Jack Smith, Robert Lambert, Dan Bewley, Josh Bates, Connor Mountain, Luke Harris
