Swindon Robins name mascot as 'Roby'

The Swindon Robins Speedway team have named their mascot 'Roby' following their #NameOurRobin competition.

Over 50 people nominated names for the Swindon Robins mascot, and three-year-old Ava Church's suggestion of 'Roby' has been selected by the club.

As a winner of the competition, Ava will be an offical mascot against the Poole Pirates on Easter Sunday, where she'll lead out the Robins with skipper Jason Doyle.

Commercial Manager Lee Kilby is keen to introduce a whole host of activities for the club's Junior Robins as the club aim to further improve their relationship with the community of Swindon.

Kilby is also calling for people to be flag bearers for every home meeting this season and encourages those who are interested to go and see him when they arrive at the Abbey Stadium.
