Swindon Speedway - Robins to Face Lions
SWINDON Speedway are delighted to reveal plans for a special early season meeting against the best of British.
The Excalibur Communications Robins will face a British Lions side managed by Team GB boss Neil Middleditch at the Abbey on Thursday, March 21.
And that means two spectacular meetings to launch the season as the clash comes just a week after the Bob Kilby Memorial meeting.
Gary Patchett, co-owner of the reigning Elite League champions, said: “This is a wonderful way for us to launch the season before going into the Elite League schedule.
“It also gives us the opportunity to see the best British riders, although Tai Woffinden will be in New Zealand for the GP.
“But it means the likes of Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls and Danny King will be in the frame and no doubt in Middlo’s thoughts for this meeting.
“We look forward to welcoming fans in big numbers for these two prestigious opening meetings at the Abbey before the Excalibur Communications Robins launch their Elite League title defence. It’s very exciting.”
