Swindon Storm under 21s to Compete in New Regional League

There's no denying that American Football has become an increasingly popular choice for youngsters looking to keep active in Swindon.

With such a high-level of interest in the sport, Swindon Storm has never had more players attending it's Saturday morning training sessions.

The South Marston based American Football Team has squads at Youth, Junior Varsity and Senior level.

The club believes that players need to be offered the tools to live the lifestyle of an athlete at every given opportunity.

Following a hugely successful season, The Junior Varsity team will face The Gloucester Titans in Bristol next weekend as they compete in a brand new regional league.

Aimed at young adults aged between 18 and 20, The Junior Varsity team gives players the chance to find their feet and gain experience before graduating into the Seniors Team in June.

In other news, the Senior Team's first game saw them draw against the Weston Falcons 6-6. After holding the lead for the majority of the game the Storm let in a last minute Falcon's TD. The game was played under the floodlights at Filton College on their high school style American Football pitch.

If you're interested in joining Swindon Storm, new players are encouraged to arrive at Swindon RFC, on Saturday morning at 10.15am. All equipment is supplied and no experience is necessary. Click here for full details.
