Swindon Supermarine bring in Gloucester City goalkeeper in on loan

Swindon Supermarine have announced that goalkeeper Liam Armstrong has joined the club on loan from Gloucester City AFC. Mike Wray reports on the goalkeeper reshuffle at Swindon Supermarine.

Having begun his career at Bristol Rovers Academy before penning his first professional contract with the Pirates in 2018 and the 22-year-old netminder has also featured for Tiverton Town where he made over 50 appearances during the 2018-19 campaign and went on to win their Young Player of the Year accolade.

He has also featured in two spells at Salisbury, the second of which saw him suffering an injury which ruled him out for the second half of the 2019-20 campaign as well as having loans at Paulton Rovers, Larkhall Athletic and more recently, a spell that has just come to a conclusion at Bromsgrove Sporting.

Liam will be available for Supermarine’s Southern League Premier South game at home on Saturday [12.11.22] against neighbours Yate Town.

Meanwhile the club has also announced that 'keeper Connor Johns and recent signing Josh Gould have departed the club. 

Connor Johns has decided to retire from and Josh Gould has moved up to the National League South with Bath City.

Jadyn Mundle remains at Bradford Town having joined the Hellenic Premier League side on a dual registration recently.
