The Robins are the only team in the bottom nine to have not had a managerial change this season, although the decision to switch the role of picking the team and deciding the tactics from a matchday has gone from head coach Luke Williams, to director of football Tim Sherwood, and, recently, back to Williams again.
Power was speaking a matter of hours before Swindon's away match at Northampton that ended in a 2-1 defeat - the club's fifth loss on the bounce.
The majority of the TalkSPORT interview consisted of talk regarding director of football Sherwood's role at the club, which Power described as an "old pals act".
When asked whether one of Sherwood or Williams would go or Power will sell up, the chairman responded: "Everything will stay as it is.
"I have always been heavily involved in the recruitment, always gone through with the manager so that's he's aware on who we're buying and who we're not.
"Ultimately I make that decision, I chose the players and recruitment hasn't been good enough - it became very apparent in November, hence why I asked Tim to come in and help us.
"Obviously I needed then to not make those mistakes again. I asked Tim to assess the squad and to purchase some players and bring some players in on loan to keep us up.
"No-one has spent all the money that we have spent in League One in that window in terms of wages and I think now Luke's got the tools, there is no excuse, for this side (not) to stay in this league whereas before I might have sold him a bit short with the players I had given to him."
Swindon brought eight new faces to the club in January although six of them (Fankaty Dabo, Rohan Ince, Charlie Colkett, Ben Gladwin, Nicky Ajose and Islam Feruz) were signed on loan deals until the end of the season.
Permanent signings Dion Conroy and Jesse Starkey were signed on undisclosed fees but there has been no indication on how much money was forked out on the pair that signed from Chelsea and Brighton respectively.
