Swindon Town confirm their first permanent signing of the summer

Swindon Town have confirmed the signing of former Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella on a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old has become Michael Flynn's first permanent signing of the summer, having previously worked with Town's manager at the Bescot Stadium, where he won the club's Player of the Season award on two occasions.

The midfielder has spent his entire career at Walsall, making over 200 apperances for the club, as well as representing the Republic of Ireland at under-21 and under-19 level.

Speaking to club media, Kinsella said:  "I'm absolutely buzzing to get the deal done now, I've been training with the lads for the last couple of days and to get the deal sorted and done, I'm delighted to be here.

"Swindon's always up there, it's a massive club and I'm just really excited to get going to be honest."
