Swindon Town draw Eastleigh in FA Cup First Round

Swindon Town will travel to Eastleigh in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.

As Swindon have been drawn as the away side, the tie will be played at Silverlake stadium the week commencing November 5/6. 

Luke Williams' side will then travel to Exeter in the EFL Trophy on November 8 before hosting Charlton the Saturday after the FA Cup fixture.

Town have not enjoyed the FA Cup in recent years as they have been knocked out of the oldest sporting competition in the world at the first hurdle in the last four seasons.

Macclesfield (twice), Cheltenham and Rochdale have all succeeded in dumping out Swindon, with the Robins conceding a whopping 14 goals in that quadruple of matches, scoring just the one (a Nicky Ajose penalty, in a 3-1 defeat at Rochdale last campaign).
