Swindon have been drawn away from home, so the tie will be played at Carrow Road
The first-round of the cup was both seeded and regionalised, with Swindon un-seeded and in the southern section, meaning they were only ever going to draw a seeded southern side.
The Robins have not progressed beyond round one of the League Cup since the 2014-15 season, when they beat Luton 2-1 at Kenilworth Road.
Last season Swindon fell at the first hurdle when they lost 3-2 at Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers and the year before that they were beaten 2-1 by Exeter City at the County Ground.
The match will be new boss David Flitcroft's second competitive match in charge of Swindon as it will be played on either Tuesday August 8 or Wednesday August 9, with the domestic league season getting underway on August 5.
It has not been confirmed yet whether Town's tie will be on the Tuesday or the Wednesday. Swindon will find out their league schedule next Wednesday (June 21).
