Swindon Town Football Club
STFC are Swindon's top football team, based at The County Ground Stadium.
The County Ground, County Road, Swindon, Wiltshire , SN1 2ED
Website 0330 002 199390' 1-2 Harry McKirdy has just managed to commit the most ridiculous foul imaginable. Exeter were clearing the ball in the corner and McKirdy stood behind him and clipped the defenders leg as he went to kick the ball, stupid free kick to give away.
90' 1-2 Swindon are the ones in need of a goal but Exeter have just had a good chance, Matt Jay brought down a cross and shot at the near post but Wollacott saved it comfortably.
90' 1-2 The referee has added on five minutes of added time, Swindon are pushing here, but Exeter aren't going to be leaving the edge of their box any time soon.
90' 1-2 Final roll of the dice for Swindon as Jayden Mitchell-Lawson is coming on Akin Odimayo.
88' 1-2 Goal for Exeter. Swindon have been caught cold here as Jevani Brown turned provider and teed up Timothee Dieng side foots it home from the top of the box. These late goals are killing Swindon.
84' 1-1 Goal for Exeter. It felt like it was coming. Jevani Brown has acres of space and curls the ball from outside the box into the top corner, nothing Wollacott could do.
82' 1-0 This is starting to feel like torture. Josh Coley gets beyond Tomlinson and clips a cross over everyone and Matt Jay recovers it and plays a ball right into the middle, but thankfully no one wearing blue is there to meet it. I could do without the worry personally.
78' 1-0 Barry chases down a ball in the corner and links up well with Williams, but the Welshman cannot quite get enough on his return pass.
77' 1-0 Pierce Sweeney is replaced by Josh Coley for the Grecians.
76' 1-0 The attendance inside the County Ground this afternoon is 10,642. Not a bad effort, but it would be nice to hear them getting behind the team a little more.
75' 1-0 A quick counter attack starts with Jevani Brown dispossessing Williams and feeds Matt Jay, but he scuffs his shot straight down Wollacott's throat.
73' 1-0 You can feel the County Ground starting to become a bit nervous here as Exeter are putting the Robins under more pressure. They haven't fashioned a clear opportunity just yet, but you would imagine that this will continue for the rest of the game.
73' 1-0 Another change for Exeter with Jack Sparkes coming on for Jake Caprice.
70' 1-0 Ben Garner choosing to make his second sub of the afternoon as Louie Barry replaces Josh Davison.
69' 1-0 Swindon should have had a good opportunity there as Gladwin fed Hunt who took too long to control the pass and by that time could not pick out a wide open Harry McKirdy.
66' Jordan Lyden went down injured, but is walking off under his own steam and he is replaced by Ellis Iandolo.
63' 1-0 The corner is swung in under the crossbar from Exeter and it looked like Wollacott was being fouled, but the cross went beyond everyone and it will be a goal kick.
61' 1-0 Exeter looking to fight back quickly as Timothee Dieng has a shot that is well saved by Wollacott and it is out for a corner.
61' 1-0 First change for Exeter as Kieron Phillips makes way for Sam Nombe.
58' 1-0 GOAL SWINDON and it's the debutant Joe Tomlinson. McKirdy goes wide and slips it inside for Tomlinson who underlapped. The man on loan from Peterborough took a touch and buried it in the far corner to give Town the lead.
54' 0-0 Great save from Dawson. Gladwin and Davison combine to slip McKirdy down the left and he scampers inside and flashes a shot at the near post but the keeper makes a great save.
49' 0-0 Swindon have carried a good first-half performance into the second and are enjoying the lion's share of possession. They have won an early corner, but (and this will come as no surprise) it comes to nothing.
45' 0-0 McKirdy gets us underway for an important second half for Town.
45' 0-0 It is all square here at half-time, but the amount of updates should give you an idea that this has been a very good game. McKirdy and Davison aren't quite firing yet and if that continues I imagine we will see Louie Barry soon, but it has been a very promising start for Tomlinson, which I might have said once or a thousand times already.
44' 0-0 Hunt is being caused quite a few issues by his fellow wing-back Jake Caprice. The Exeter man once again found space and curled an inviting cross in that just escaped everyone in the middle.
40' 0-0 Swindon continuing to look dangerous here. Tomlinson, who by the way has had a very strong debut so far, curls a cross from deep into the box, Cooper peels off but can't quite judge the flight and it goes behind. There is a goal in this one, I promise you.
38' 0-0 Jake Caprice finds space and fires a cross at real pace to the back post where Kieran Phillips makes contact but can't direct it on target.
35' 0-0 Another good chance for Swindon as Hunt and McKirdy combine to slip the former down the side, but he can't quite find Tomlinson who had made a smart run into the box.
28' 0-0 Game really hotting up here. McKirdy does well to get past his man and was running through two-on-one with the defender, tried to slide in a wide open Gladwin, but the pass was over hit and the chance fizzled out. Something is boiling here.
28' 0-0 You'd have been hearing about that in Ben Garner's post-match interview if Exeter had scored. It looked as though Cooper had been fouled, and Jevani Brown ran into the box, but his shot was blocked once again.
24' 0-0 Easily Swindon's best chance of the half. A free-kick is switched quickly to an unmarked Tomlinson who uses McKirdy as a decoy and fires just over the upright.
23' 0-0 Not sure if this has ever been done before, but Swindon are having their full backs swap sides every so often. Tomlinson has made a strong start to his Town career, showing strong technical quality.
18' 0-0 Jonny Williams showing his class there as he brought down a long ball from Brandon Cooper like his chest was as a hotel duvet, skipped beyond his full-back, but his cross was under hit and was cleared before McKirdy could get there.
16' 0-0 For those of you who are fans of a terrible shot, I've got a video for you to find. Kieran Phillips found space in the Swindon box before slicing the ball horribly towards the floodlight in the corner of the Town End.
14' 0-0 Joe Tomlinson fancied making it a debut to remember as he came inside and had a shot from roughly 35 yards. It wasn't the worst effort, but a comfortable enough save for Dawson.
14' 0-0 After a fast start the game is settling down more now and Swindon are seeing more of the ball, which is nice as it was strange to see Town as the side playing counter attacking football.
9' 0-0 Swindon looking dangerous on the counter here so far, as McKirdy got in down the left and Davison was open in the middle but he went for goal and hit the side netting.
8' 0-0 Another corner causing danger for Exeter as the ball dropped for Matt Jay and his shot was blocked by Jake O'Brien.
7' 0-0 First proper opening for Swindon as Harry McKirdy looks to slide Josh Davison in behind, but the pass is slightly overhit and the Exeter keeper Cameron Dawson came out and dealt with the danger.
5' 0-0 The visitors certainly making the better start here as a few Swindon players did well to get in the way of Jevani Brown's effort as the ball pinballed around the edge of the box.
4' 0-0 The corner was not properly cleared and a good piece of defending from Jake O'Brien was all that prevented a big chance. He conceded another corner in the process but that time it cleared everyone and went out for a goal kick.
3' 0-0 Exeter are holding possession to start the match and have got an early corner after Jonny Williams did well to block a cross.
0' Exeter gets us underway and we are off in SN1.
The two teams are holding a minute of applause in memory of former Swindon players Jamie Vincent and Steve Finney.
The players are out and kick-off is just a few minutes away here.
The visitors line-up features two former Swindon players involved in the matchday squad, with Pierce Sweeney and Jonathan Grounds both involved.

Full Time 1-2. Exeter have won it, Swindon were playing well for 75 minutes, but famously football matches last much longer than that and they fell apart late on to lose at home to their play-off rivals, who will now move above them.
