Swindon were humbled 4-1 at home on Saturday by Barnet and the Robins were 4-0 down prior to a late Luke Norris consolation.
The Robins were 2-0 down inside the first 20 minutes too after going behind after 10 minutes due to a defensive mix-up and then Olly Lancashire conceded a penalty not long after, which Jamal Campbell-Ryce converted.
Town were booed off at half-time at 2-0 and then again after the final whistle once the 4-1 thrashing had been confirmed.
Flitcroft thinks the boo-boys are right to judge the team in such a fashion but thinks it's because they are willing the players on.
"The boos are just," the boss said.
"We've just conceded seven goals (in the last two games). I've just said to the players that this group of supporters are willing us to do well, they want us to do well.
"These boos aren't because they've fell out with it - they want this team to do well. They want this and I've said this to the players, they want you to do well.
"They're trying to get behind you, they're trying to stimulate you, and this group of supporters deserve a better performance from me and the team.
"We're craving that. It's not for a lack of trying or a willingness, but we've just got to commit and concentrate and focus more than what we are doing and I'm sure that that's where we'll be on Monday to reset for next week."
Swindon have dropped to 13th as a result of Saturday's defeat and the Robins travel to sixth-placed Luton next Saturday.
