Swindon Town loan watch: Tom Smith wins man-of-the-match award on Bath City debut
Swindon Town midfielder Tom Smith had the perfect Bath City debut as he was named the man-of-the-match on his first appearance for the Romans.
Bath were held to a 0-0 draw by fellow National League South outfit Chelmsford City in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup, so they will need a replay in Essex, although Smith may be frustrated by the result, he can have plenty of pride in his personal performance.
Smith will be a Roman for a month.
Elsewhere in the FA Cup, Leyton Orient's James Brophy was made to sit out by Swindon Town, as they did not want the left winger cup-tied. Orient also drew, against Dagenham, so will need a replay to make the first-round proper as well.
Chippenham pair Scott Twine and Tommy Ouldridge both featured in the Bluebirds' 0-0 home draw with Wealdstone. Ouldridge came on in the 83rd minute while Twine started and was subbed off in the 88th.
Jake Evans did not feature in the Farnborough squad that thrashed Hitchin Town 4-1.
