Flitcroft, who was confirmed as Luke Williams' replacement on Monday, has got a fair bit of rescructuring to do after first-team coach Ross Embleton and sports scientist Mike Cooper left with Williams last month.
Director of football Tim Sherwood and goalkeeper coach Dean Thornton, among other staff, remain put at the County Ground but the club are after a new physio too, after Paul Godfrey departed for Cardiff in March.
"I've just said to Lee (Power, the chairman), I'm a massive believer in developing people and staff.
"I'll come in and see what's in the academy, see if there's good people and see if people have got a work ethic.
"I'm only prepared to work with people that are prepared to give more to what they're contracted to, work harder than anyone else and have that skill set. I'll see what qualifications are in there and build from there.
"It's giving an opportunity to those that are Swindon Town contracted and then we'll build an infastructure around that and a support staff will be around that.
"That's to be built at the minute, but I'll certainly be taking my time with that."
