Gladwin originally departed Swindon in the summer of 2015 for Queens Park Rangers when him and Massimo Luongo were sold to the west Londoners for a combined £3.5 million fee.
The 24-year-old initially signed from non-league Marlow in 2013 and played 13 times for the Robins in his debut season.
It was the following year where he really made his mark at the County Ground as he netted 11 goals in 41 games, including two in the play-off semi-final second leg against Sheffield United.
He struggled to make an impact at Loftus Road however and only made two league appearances in the 2015-16 season so returned to Swindon on loan.
Later on that campaign he would get a move back to the Championship but with Bristol City, and again on loan.
Despite QPR appointing Ian Holloway as boss, Gladwin has still not managed to get regular first team football at the club, however he did start in their 2-1 loss against Blackburn in the FA Cup this weekend, although he was substituted in the second half.
Swindon have limited numbers currently following the departures of Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty who were recalled from their loans by QPR and Gladwin is expected to go straight into the Swindon team for the trip to Bolton this weekend as a Doughty.
Gladwin will wear the number seven shirt and his contract at QPR expires in 2018 as he signed a three-year deal when he originally departed.
