Swindon Town's contract situation: who might leave this summer?

As Swindon Town approach the final furlong of the 2017-18 season, Total Sport have collected the contract situation of the current alumni.

After relegation from League One last season, Swindon were left with only 12 contracted players following a string of summer departures including then-captain Nathan Thompson and Jon Obika, who went on to sign for Portsmouth and arch-rivals Oxford United respectively.

David Flitcroft was appointed as manager, replacing Luke Williams who also departed SN1 for pastures new, and Flitcroft managed to tie down many of his signings to two-year deals as he tried to build the squad in his image.

While Flitcroft abandoned his Swindon project for Mansfield, a large section of his recruits are set to stay at Swindon until next season at the very least.

However, a few members of the squad have not had the length of their contract publicly disclosed by the club, so a few futures are not known at this stage.

Swindon goalkeepers Lawrence Vigouroux is contracted for next season but summer signing Reice Charles-Cook, Will Henry and Stuart Moore might say their goodbyes at the end of this campaign.

Town will not lose their captain this time though, as Olly Lancashire is tied down to a two-year deal and Dion Conroy will not be released after a season-ending injury like Jamie Sendles-White was last season, as he too is contracted until 2019.

Rollin Menayese, Chris Hussey, Kellan Gordon, Timi Elsnik and Ollie Banks will all leave the club when their loans expire, but two of them are available to sign on a free transfer, as their contracts at their parent side do not run for much longer.

Strikers Keshi Anderson and Kaiyne Woolery are tied down at Swindon for the longest amount of time, as they are both contracted until 2020.

Goalkeepers: Lawrence Vigouroux (2019), Reice Charles-Cook (2018), Will Henry (2018), Stuart Moore (2018)

Defenders: Olly Lancashire (2019), Matt Taylor (2018), Matt Preston (2018), Dion Conroy (2019), Ryan McGivern (2018)

Midfielders: James Dunne (2019), Ellis Iandolo (2018), Donal McDermott (2018), Jordan Young (2019)

Strikers: Paul Mullin (2019), Luke Norris (2019), Keshi Anderson (2020), Kaiyne Woolery (2020), Marc Richards (2019)

Chris Hussey's Sheffield United contract expires in 2018

Rollin Menayese's Bristol Rovers contract is undisclosed

Kellan Gordon's Derby County contract expires in 2019

Timi Elsnik's Derby County contract expires in 2019

Ollie Banks' Oldham Athletic contract expires in 2018

Kyle Knoyle, Ben Purkiss, Chris Robertson, Amine Linganzi, Tom Smith, Tom Ouldridge and Scott Twine have not had their contract length publicly disclosed by Swindon Town.
