During the week Williams detailed a lack of professionalism in four of his players, saying the quartet lacked the desire to fight for the club in their relegation battle.
Lawrence Vigouroux, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill, James Brophy and Jordan Stewart were all fined for the incident and are now free to return to the first-team fold but only one of them, Vigouroux, was named in the 18-man squad on Saturday.
Brophy, however, did travel to Bradford as the man on standby in case someone got injured.
The amount the four have been fined has not been disclosed but it is not the first time Swindon Town have docked money from playing staff for discipline issues this campaign, as Jermaine Hylton was fined for leaving a match, Northampton away, before kick-off after being told he was not in the squad.
Ormonde-Ottewill was also part of a trio, including Drissa Traore and Jeremy Balmy (no longer at the club), that was fined last season for inhaling nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas, in a Periscope video.
Following the 2-1 defeat at Bradford, Luke Williams told the local media that "everybody has to prove to (him) that they are completely on-board, otherwise they are not going to be involved.
"I'm not going to let people down by putting anybody on the pitch that's not willing to give everything acceptable.
"I think, at the same time, it would have been irresponsible of me to put Will Henry back in."
A poor pass from Henry led to the third of Sheffield United's four goals in their 4-2 win over Swindon on Tuesday.
"I think he suffered a lot in the last game so Lawrence was brought back in to relieve Will Henry of another potentially very difficult game for him.
"James Brophy travelled as the 19th man because one player (unnamed) was going into the game with a knock but came through the fitness test fine.
"In one day he's done everything correctly and needs to continue that every single day and show that he's improved and he's ready to improve on the pitch and off the pitch and try to take part in this fight to stay in League One.
"I've issued a fine to the players and I've explained that to them and it's their choice whether they want to appeal it and, of course, if they do then it may change things until we've come to a conclusion with that.
"From what I can gather, all of the players that have been disciplined are going to accept the fine and understand that they now need to build us some more credits in the bank and build the trust again."
