Swindon Town's Will Henry misses out on a place at the Under-19 Euros

Swindon Town goalkeeper Will Henry has not made the cut for the England squad that will be going to the Under-19 European Championships this summer.

Henry, 18, is Swindon Town's back-up goalkeeper but got to make a few outings for the first team this season following a mixture of injuries, suspensions and one disciplinary issue for regular number one Lawrence Vigouroux.

The Bristol-born stopper was named in an England training camp ahead of the Euros this summer which gave head coach Keith Downing a chance to assess a number of players before trimming down his squad for the final tournament.

Downing has named an 18-man squad for the Euros, which begin for England on July 3, but Henry has been overlooked by goalkeepers Aaron Ramsdale and Nathan Trott, of Bournemouth and West Ham respectively.

England kick-off their campaign in Georgia against Bulgaria before matches against the Netherlands (July 6) and Germany (July 9).
