Swindon Wildcats capture Robin Kovar
The Swindon Wildcats have bolstered their squad by adding Czech icer Robin Kovar.
Kovar has most recently been at the financially-troubled Manchester Phoenix, a club he joined in 2013 but has been without a club since departing the Phoenix earlier on this season.
He started his career in the HC Vsetin junior system and then iced for two years for the Vancouver Giants.
After that he would return to Czech hockey, plying his trade in all three divisions, before moving on to HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas in Slovakia and netted 31 points in 51 games.
Head coach Aaron Nell said of his arrival: "I'm delighted to be able to sign a player of Robin’s quality for the remainder of the season. It’s all happened very quickly since we found out about Mark’s injury but it’s an important move for the team to get back to full strength import wise.”
