Taylor's winner heaps more misery on Swindon Town

Harry Smith’s second goal in as many games proved not enough for Swindon Town, as they dropped towards the League Two relegation zone.

Mark Kennedy’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Salford City this evening, meaning they are now 22nd in the table with 11 points from 13 games.

Kelly N’Mai scored after just three minutes at Moor Lane to put the hosts ahead, before Smith levelled five minutes after the interval.

But substitute Jon Taylor came off the bench to net what proved to be the winner for Salford, who moved up to 15th in the table after claiming the spoils.

Town remained three points clear of the drop zone, but slipped down a place after Bromley won 1-0 at Doncaster Rovers.

Next up for Swindon is a home clash against Gillingham at the Nigel Eady County Ground on Saturday (3pm).
