Swindon Town women enjoy flying start to season
Swindon Town women have enjoyed a sublime start to their campaign, with four wins from four in National League Division One South West.
Richard Wood’s side thumped Southampton Women 9-0 at the Nigel Eady County Ground on Sunday.
Star striker Annie Colston scored twice and Libby Davies netted a double. There was also goals for Holly Beck Esson, Poppy Dearlove, Jess Graham, Gipsy Viveash and Helena Diaz-Butcher.
That resounding victory followed wins over Keynsham Town, Bournemouth Sports and Bridgwater United.
The Robins sit joint top of the league standings with AFC Bournemouth women, who have also won their first four games with the same goal difference.

Another victory over Keynsham in the determining round of the National League Cup meant Swindon moved into round one of the competition, where they will face Queens Park Rangers later this month.
Next up for the Wood’s side is a home clash against Maidenhead United at the Nigel Eady County Ground on Sunday (2pm).
