Tshimanga eager to bring 'eye for goal' to Swindon Town
New signing Kabongo Tshimanga is eager to bring his eye for goal to Swindon Town.
The 27-year-old on Monday agreed a loan switch from League One outfit Peterborough United.
A prolific scorer in the National League with Boreham Wood and Chesterfield, Tshimanga is eager to recapture his scoring form with Mark Kennedy’s troops.
He told the club website: "I'm buzzing to be here.
"It's one I had to be quite patient with and I know the interest has been for a couple of weeks but happy now it's all done.
"Goals have always been a part of my game and I think I'm different to the other attacking options we have here already.
"I think I offer a bit of a blend of everything in terms of my own game and how I like to play.
"I've always got an eye for goal too, so I'm looking forward to replicating that here."
Town’s head of football Jamie Russell added: "Kabongo is a powerful, dynamic centre-forward who can play on the shoulder and gives us a threat in behind the opposition's back-line.
"What he also offers is that he's a good link forward too and can offer a different kind of attacking threat to our front line to what we already have at Swindon Town.
"He's got an eye for goals, that much is clear with his spells at Chesterfield and Boreham Wood and is a proven goalscorer.
"It's well documented we've tracked him for a little while and we're looking forward to finally having him on board with us for the 2024/25 season."
