Video: Nathan Thompson's disappointment at Swindon Town dismissal

Swindon Town will be without their captain and talisman Nathan Thompson for Monday's trip to Scunthorpe, after the defender received a straight red card for a lunging tackle during the Good Friday home match against Wigan.

Speaking to Total Sport and local media following the match, Thompson admitted regret at going in for the tackle, particularly at a time when the game was all but out of Swindon Town's grasp.

Manager Luke Williams had already acknowledged the referee's decision to brandish the red card was the right one, and admitted his captain was perhaps to fuelled up with emotion at the time of making the tackle on Wigan Athletic's Chris McCann.
