Wildcats Sign Adam Harding From MK Lightning
Swindon Wildcats are delighted to announce that the 2018/19 roster has been completed with the late arrival of Adam Harding after he recently left EIHL side the MK Lightning.
Adam, a familiar face to Wildcats fans, joins the club after a couple of seasons in the EIHL where he iced for both the Manchester Storm and more recently the Dundee Stars. In Dundee last year he iced in 39 games contributing 11 goals. In his last season in Swindon he contributed 25 points in 50 league games before he left to join the EIHL.
Wildcats Head Coach Aaron Nell was thrilled to have rounded off his team with Adam.
‘We always keep a look out to improve our team and this is a signing that we didn’t expect to be lucky enough to make! Adam is a player that we couldn’t pass up on and a player that is going to help us in the short and hopefully long term.
“Adam’s game has really matured in his 2 years away and I think that will help us. He gives us so much more depth throughout our line-up, he can play centre or wing and in all situations!”
“Adam was a fan favourite in his last spell here and I’m sure it will be the same this season!”
The Welsh forward was equally thrilled to have secured a move back to Swindon after work commitments prevented him continuing in the EIHL this season.
“As soon as I knew I was leaving MK I had only one team in mind, I contacted Aaron to see if he had any spaces available and luckily for me he did. The contract was back and signed within a day, it all happened so fast.” Harding said when speaking to www.swindonwildcats.com
“I’m a different player now to what I was the last time I was in Swindon, I am much more of a defensive player and I’m looking forward to showing the Swindon fans a new Adam. That being said, I do still want to put some pucks in the net and score some points like I have done before in the EPL.
I’m really excited to be back in Swindon, I know most of the team after my time in Swindon and Cardiff, like Max and Chris, and after the success the Wildcats had last season I’m eager to be on a winning team this season.
I can’t wait to see all the fans again, and play in front of them once more.”
Aaron finished by saying “The team is complete now and I am very happy with how it looks, I think we’ve improved our defence to one of the best D cores we’ve ever had in Swindon and I also think Adam coming in has rounded off our forwards really well.. I expect us to play an exciting brand of hockey that all our fans can get behind and enjoy to watch. We’re all eager to get together and start working towards our goals and hopefully some more silverware”
