WRAG BARN GIVES ITS PICKS FOR THE MASTERS

The Masters tournament is just over a week away. And whether you're cheering Tiger Woods to a major comeback win, or Rory Mcllroy to his first green jacket, make sure to take a look below as Wrag Barn Golf Club gave its Masters picks ahead of the prestigious tournament.

Club President Mr Mike Bowes: My tip for the Masters is Rory Mcllroy.  I believe he is targeting this event to complete this career grand slam and get the monkey off his back.

His play in recent weeks including a win last time out sets him up for success.  He has the game to tame Augusta as long as his putter behaves itself.  If it's not Rory then who?  For me the only other obvious choice is World number one Dustin Johnson.

Club Captain Mr Mark Keenan: My two choices to win the Masters are Rory Mcllroy and Paul Casey. Mcllroy has come into some form and despite being one of the World's best players, he doesn't have the green jacket on his CV.  He seems to have learned how to putt this season and that will be key at Augusta if he his win this famous major.

Paul Casey is my second pick and would be a good outsider to back. He has just retained his title at the Valspar and is looking in good form ahead of the trip to August. Paul is, of course, English, ans getting towarrds the latter stages of his career at the age of 41 and it would be good for a veteran to show the young bucks how it's done.

Lady Captain Melanie Matthews: It's a tough one to call but for me it's got to be a choice between either Justin Rose or Rory Mcllroy. Both have been in great form and it will be interesting to see who prevails. Justin has come close to getting his hands on the famous green jacket in the last couple of years so maybe this will be his year for success at Augusta.
