Swindon manager Luke Williams meets with chairman following Bolton loss

Swindon manager Luke Williams was called into a meeting with chairman Lee Power as a result of Town's 1-0 loss at home to Bolton Wanderers.

The defeat means that Swindon now have just one league win from their last eight matches and they have lost their last four home league games - against Bury, Bristol Rovers, Northampton and now Bolton.

Williams did not face the local media, instead assistant boss Ross Embleton answered questions from the assorted press while Town's chief was having a meeting with Power and the playing staff.

"Luke has been in with the boys as you can imagine", Embleton said at full-time.

"After the game they are low but they have worked as hard as they possibly can today and to come away with a result like that Luke is obviously spending time with them, of course he is talking to the chairman as well.

"It is part of his managerial duties to make sure that he fulfills his different conversations he is having in there and it was taking a bit longer so I felt it was the right thing to do for me to step out and take the responsibility of coming to speak to you guys."

It is not yet known at this stage whether Williams' job is on the line.
