Swindon Town appoint Phil Brown as manager on permanent basis
Following a meeting with chairman Lee Power on Tuesday, Phil Brown has been appointed as Swindon Town manager on a permanent basis, BBC Wiltshire understand.
Brown was appointed Swindon manager on a deal until the end of the season in March after David Flitcroft decide to depart for Mansfield Town, but ex-Hull boss Brown was unable to guide Town into the post-season play-offs.
The 58-year-old made no secret of the fact that he wanted to stay at the County Ground and chairman Lee Power has decided to appoint Brown for the next two seasons at least.
Brown guided Swindon to two wins, five draws and three defeats in his 10 games in charge, as the Robins finished 9th in the 2017-18 League Two season.
He has signed a two-year deal at the County Ground.
