Swindon Town's Jon Obika talks up the ability of Nicky Ajose and Rohan Ince

Striker Jon Obika has spoken highly of the good working relationship he has with his fellow forward Nicky Ajose and midfield destroyer Rohan Ince.

Obika and Ajose have always seemed to click with each other. The pair scored 37 goals between them last season and, since Ajose re-signing in January and Obika returning from a spate of niggling injuries, the duo have both been in goal scoring form again.

In the 3-1 win at Coventry last Saturday Ajose scored two while Obika netted the other while during Tuesday night's victory over Gillingham the two combined for Swindon's second goal, which was scored by Obika and assisted by Ajose.

Speaking after the 3-1 Gills win, Obika said: "(We are) definitely (getting that relationship back).

"Nicky is an intelligent player and is always looking for the right pass so I'm glad we linked up well today."

When talking about his goal, Obika said: "Nicky did very well to spin it around the corner and I was able to move forward and get it into the goal.

"He pulled, I think it was Jackson, and it gave me time for me to set myself and get a clean strike. (Our good performances are due) to all of the boys.

"They're giving us all opportunities. Myself, (James) Brophy, Nicky and Ben (Gladwin) to just go out and create chances for each other and I feel that's showed.

"I feel we still need to work hard in taking many of the chances, I felt even in the first half we should have had a few so that's what we'll be looking for in the next game, against Chesterfield."

Obika also had time to speak highly of man-of-the-match Rohan Ince, who has he worked with before when they were both on the books of Brighton.

"He played a lot of games when I was there (Albion), he was always starting and you can see the quality he has while playing for us.

"We've always known he's got an engine, he's settled down now and we're seeing the real Incey.

"He's just a cover to the defence and (he brings) the confidence for the front players to go out and express themselves."
