The Museum of Computing
The Museum of Computing Swindon
A family-friendly volunteer-run museum situated in the heart of Swindon town centre and devoted to the history of computing and information technology.
The Museum of Computing is the first physical museum of its kind in the UK. At the museum, which opens on Saturdays, you get to experience hands-on exhibits and experience computers as they were back in the day and learn about the history of computing and digital development through the years.
They even run courses for kids and you can find out more about what's on offer or sign up to volunteer, here!
Opening Hours: Saturdays, 9.30am - 5.00pm (last admission is 4.15pm)
Admission:
Adults: £5.00
Children: Under 16s £3.00 (Under 5 Free)
Family Ticket: £12.00 (2 adults and 2 children)
Children's Club: £10.00
The museum does have wheelchair access but no toilets, however, the closest is just a short 1 minute walk away in the Swindon Central Library.
