"Will Henry is in for a pay rise" - Swindon boss Luke Williams

Swindon manager Luke Williams half-joked that young goalkeeper Will Henry is set for a pay rise as a result of his Oxford outing.

Henry came up trumps in the penalty shootout, conceding just one of the four Oxford penalties aimed at him and he also kept a clean sheet in the regulation 90 minutes, much to the delight of his manager and fans alike.

"Well I think he is coming in for a pay rise tomorrow morning, for sure," Williams quipped.

"He was outstanding because he was pressured and at such a young man, but he done fantastically well.

"He took that (his debut against Rochdale last season, where he also saved a penalty) in his stride and I suppose tonight he has been in a similar situation already at his tender age and was able to handle the pressure.

"It is no secret that we have so many players in the early stages of their career and for someone like Will to be there and making three penalty saves and to start senior games against very competitive opposition sets up well for the future."

Later, when speaking exclusively to Total Sport , Williams continued his praising of the man.

"He has taken every single opportunity with both hands and it is very pleasing when we have got Lawrence Vigouroux who is outstanding but we have now got a young goalkeeper pushing him all the way and if anything happens to Lawrence we have got somebody we can rely on if he has to come in."
