ACADEMIC CAMP EXPANDS ITS REACH INTO SOUTH ASIA
LEADING academic school holiday specialist Academic Camp has expanded its reach into South Asia by forging a relationship with The Red Pen, an independent education consultancy with a global presence.
Based in Mumbai, India, The Red Pen hosted the fourth edition of its annual Summer Programmes Fair in two cities to showcase summer enrichment programmes and summer schools to families and educators of students between grades six to 12.
Namita Mehta, President of The Red Pen, said: “Our Summer Programme Fair was launched four years ago. It is a gateway to opportunities that allow your child to explore their passions, interests, and career prospects based on which they can plan their education. Participating in enriching and meaningful activities that align with your child’s long-term goals eventually plays a crucial role in their college application and essays.”
Academic Camp was invited to be participate in this fair to offer parents and students an opportunity to come to the UK during their school summer holidays (or other school holidays) and enjoy an immersive educational experience to help them reach their goals.
Caroline Marshall, Communications Executive for Academic Camp travelled to Mumbai and, as a result, the first two students from India have already booked to attend a summer camp in the UK, hoping to study at a UK university in the future.
Caroline said: “It was an amazing experience to travel to Mumbai for the first time and to meet members of The Red Pen team and be part of this inaugural event. We hope to build a relationship across Asia to showcase the outstanding courses we can offer in the UK to help young people achieve their dreams.”
The Red Pen was established over a decade ago to bridge the knowledge gaps existing within the global education landscape and assist students applying to institutions at the school, undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA levels. Their Summer Programmes Fair started as a single-city event but took place in Mumbai and Delhi this year. In the coming years, they hope to bring the fair to several other Indian cities as well.
Academic Camp founder Helen Lami and her team plan to be part of this expansion.
“We already have a strong relationship with partners in many countries,” Helen said. “To be able to take our offering into India and into other South Asian countries is a wonderful opportunity which we are fully embracing and we applaud The Red Pen team for taking the lead on this.”
