Roves Farm Launches Field to Fork Feasts in Conjunction with Smoke and Thyme.

The Roves Farm family are pleased to announce a series of new events for 2019 showcasing the journey of their home bred meats from field to fork. Taking place on February 9th, May 18th and June 16th each of our Field to Fork Feasts will give diners the opportunity to see every step of the process from rearing the animals, prepping the meat and of course tasting.

For these very special events we have partnered with local chef Jack Greenall who has been running successful Oxfordshire pop-up restaurant Smoke and Thyme for several years. Each event will have a different menu and theme carefully curated and cooked by Jack for our diners on the farm. The contents of the menu will remain a surprise until the night itself.

Tickets include a personal tour of our farm where you will see first-hand how we rear our animals. This will be followed by a butchery demo in which our experienced butcher will show you the cuts of meat being prepped in the kitchen by chef Jack. Diners will then take their seats at our banqueting tables and be served a feast showcasing the cuts of meat just demonstrated in the butchery.

These events offer a unique opportunity for diners to physically follow the journey of their food from our fields to their forks and gain an insight into the workings of our family farm.

Tickets for each event are priced at £35 and include a tour, butchery demo and full feasting menu. Locally sourced wines, beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks will be available from our farm shop on the night and come at an extra cost.
